WHAT IS COLLEGE CREDIT PLUS?
Ohio's College Credit Plus is geared to help you earn college and high school
credits at the same time by taking college courses from a university or
community college.
CAN ANY HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT PARTICIPATE?
Yes, as long as you meet Lake Erie Colleges admission requirements.
WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS FOR ADMISSION INTO CCP?
A 3.3 cumulative GPA and a B average in English, math and science classes
are required to take classes at Lake Erie College.
DO I NEED TO TAKE ANY PLACEMENT/COMPASS TESTS PRIOR TO CCP?
Please send in any ACT/SAT/PSAT/or PreACT results you have with your application. If you have not taken any of these, please
e-mail Kaylee White to schedule a time to take the Accuplacer on LEC’s campus.
WHEN IS THE APPLICATION DEADLINE?
e deadline for your school to submit your Intent to Participate in CPP form is April 1st. Our LEC application deadline is June
1st.
ARE ANY ONLINE COURSES AVAILABLE?
Any online classes oered by LEC are available for CCP students if they meet the prerequisites for the class.
CAN CCP STUDENTS PARTICIPATE IN CAMPUS ACTIVITIES?
Yes, you will be given a student ID card and will have free access to all Lake Erie College sporting events. You may participate in
campus clubs and organizations, partake in our theatre productions and use all of our campus facilities for free (computer lab, gym,
etc.).
HOW MUCH DOES CCP COST?
All billing is handled by your school district.
ARE CCP CREDITS TRANSFERABLE?
Yes, Lake Erie College credit earned through CCP enrollment is transferable. To earn transfer credit, colleges and universities
generally require that you achieve a grade of ‘C’ or better in your class(es).
SHOULD I STILL TAKE AP/HONORS CLASSES?
Yes, any classes that will increase your academic abilities will help you get into the college of your choice. In order to receive credit
for AP classes at LEC, AP test scores are required.
